The Orb river itself runs right through the middle of Cessenon Sur Orb and is a popular place to swim and canoe during the hot summer months.
Cessenon Sur Orb is a thriving, lively, tradtional French village built around the beautiful 14th Century church in the centre of Cessenon Sur Orb and topped by a 12th Century Cathar tower. Cessenon Sur Orb has two bars both of which serve food and a Restaurant. There are also three Bakers, a Butchers, Pharmacy, Tabac, Post Office, Bank with ATM and a small Supermarket. The main Supermarkets are just a 10 minute drive away. Just across the suspension bridge on the far side of the river, there is also a restaurant that opens during the summer months. The bars and restaurants in Cessenon Sur Orb provide live entertainment throughout the summer months.
Cessenon Sur Orb is well located with several low cost airlines serving 4 airports in the immediate area. Beziers 30 minutes, Montpellier & Perpignan 1 hour and Carcassonne 1 hour 15 minutes. Flights with Ryan Air can be purchased from as little as 5 Euro each way! The main town of Beziers with it's own magnificent Cathedral is only 20 minutes away and the Mediterranean beaches only 25 minutes away.
